Locke is found in records in Yorkshire - The SNP marker is a Lockwood marker all this Clusters Lockwood groups related through this SNP today all still carry the Surname of Lockwood.
The question is when did this Locke branch actually start using the name - is it recently since the 1700's ? - or could they have been using the name since the 1200's the name of Locke is certainly found in Parish Records in Yorkshire in the 1500's
