BROOKS Family of Bilton cum Harrogate circa 1888

Brooks Family History

The BROOKS Family History website was originally created in 2004 for my own Family tree including many other surnames.

The website has changed many times since 2004 the latest change in 2010 is what you now see and is updated frequently.

The Database is a freely available resource and is the result of research done for the BROOKS One Name Study, BROOKS DNA Project and other One Name Studies & DNA Projects I have an interest in.

January 2023 The database now contains 981 distinct family trees.

DNA - Estimations:
Since 2021 I have started to use my own age estimations for SNP markers and linking tree branches to their respective SNP marker or markers.

Note*
These are just predictions and do and can change with each new test. SNP markers mutate at different rates I am currently working on an 80 year average. Where I have been able to fit SNP markers to a specific ancestor I do find named SNP markers can be aged from between 20 - 200 years.
