The BROOKS Family of Bilton cum Harrogate circa 1888

This is the family tree of the Brooks Family and all other branches connected to it as it stands if you can add to it please let me know. My aim is to include as much Information on all Branches as Possible.

To the best of my knowledge No Living Persons are included within this site however if you do find anyone who should not be seen please let me know straight away so this can be corrected thank you.

    I have actively Researched my Family History for some years now collecting a lot of documentary evidence to support my findings in my list of sources you can see some of the documents i have collected. I would also like to thank everyone who have also helped along the way your help has been appreciated and noted.

    New Brooks Research

    My Recent BROOKS research has led to 23 different Brooks trees apart from my area of Pateley Bridge and surrounding Towns and Villages of North Yorkshire i also have trees from Lincolnshire & Lancashire. This year 2010 i have managed to add 2 more Pateley Bridge lines to my main BROOKS family tree and the names can now be searched in the Names Index. Having proved one BROOKS family connection via DNA i am hoping to do this again for the BEWERLEY (Calf Haw & Long Greenhead Brooks families). The DNA match for the John Brooks & Jane Grainge line is not solid with documenatation the family have contact with the Bewerley families and John Brooks & Rachel Howard are seen on documentation with parts of this family - i am trying to prove the link.

  • HARKER BROOKS - A Prominent Name within the Bewerley BROOKS Family Line but i have found a Murder & Suicide in Austaralia a very sad end to one line of the Brooks Family.

    I am very keen to speak to anyone who may have information on living BROOKS Descendants from any Brooks familys descending from this part of Yorkshire. If you have BROOKS relations and do not see anything you need on the website i do have plenty of documents for many BROOKS families in and around my own areas of interest. I will be happy to hear from anyone.
